Microbiology Lab

Micro lab

The air conditioned microbiology laboratory is maintained at a constant 20ºC and is pivotal to ensuring the safety of food produced. The laboratory is equipped with a laminar flow cabinet to allow agar places to be poured and dried in a flow of sterile air. Several incubators are set to various temperatures, allowing microbes to grow in optimum conditions. Refrigerators are used for storing stock cultures and growth media, water baths for ensuring media is kept at the correct temperature prior to pouring and autoclaves for the proper sterilisation of media and equipment. There are also several light microscopes available.
