MANCHESTER FOOD RESEARCH CENTRE

Situated on a single site in an attractive area of South Manchester, the MFRC houses an impressive range of newly refurbished specialist laboratories, workshops and processing accommodation, appropriately equipped with modern technology and instrumentation.  For a quotation, or for further details, please contact us.

Many food manufacturing operations can only be demonstrated and developed using scaled down versions of those used in the industries concerned. The pilot plant enables us to test the process variables such as operating parameters and ingredients under conditions which approximate to those of a factory. The MFRC has two twin screw extruders, used for developing a wide variety of expanded snack products under intense pressure and heat and which are capable of producing large volumes of material in a very short time.
