MANCHESTER FOOD RESEARCH CENTRE

The organising committee of the International Conference on Food Safety, Quality and Nutrition (ICFSQN) invites you to join this much anticipated conference in Manchester on 11-13th April 2012.


This conference will bring together leading academics, industry personnel, research scientists and food professionals who are currently associated with the Food Industry. This event also aims to attract various stakeholders from the food chain including policy makers and international authorities. It will highlight the diversities, commonalities and future challenges that face food producers, food processors, quality control technologists and legislators.

New challenges faced by the food  industry include developing novel foods and processing technologies, meeting consumer expectations of improved product quality, improving sustainability and enhancing nutritional properties.

A separate optional seminar will also be held on the 13th April 2012 following the conference focusing on the new challenges in post harvest technologies of agricultural commodities.

This event will provide a great opportunity for leading experts and scientists from around the world to share their work and highlight recent developments in the field.

“Greening the Food  Industry”
Objectives:
Increase global awareness on the status of the food industry
  • Address the new challenges and opportunities in the global foods  industry
  • To discuss novel foods
  • To share information on relevant global food laws and sustainability of  food production
  • To share information and experience in market dynamics, technological trends and life cycle assessment of processed foods
  • To share experience with leading professionals involved in quality, business management and regulatory requirements of processed food export and import.
