Dr Joanna Kershaw - Senior Consultant

Jo came to MMU in 1990 following a post-doctoral position at UCL in the department of Botany.  During this period Jo worked on mychorrizal fungi and gained expertise in HPLC of amino acids. Previously she gained a BSc in Food Science and a PhD on the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase in brassicas, both at Leeds University, and worked for Londreco, Nestle as a Food Technologist.  At MMU, Jo has taught food chemistry, biotechnology, food analysis and microbiology.
