This is the benchmark trainer skills qualification for CIEH registered trainers delivering training that is not publicly funded. It is ideal for first-time trainers who need to understand the basics of training skills and practice or those looking to refine their techniques and replaces the Professional Trainers Certificate. Delivering new skills and techniques over a short period (typically 3 days including micro-teaching sessions), the programme is fairly demanding but highly effective.

Outline Programme
You will cover the following units:
  • roles and responsibilities
  • learning styles and preferences
  • training planning skills
  • training styles and communication
  • training assessment

Candidates are assessed on their design and delivery of a short training session which they are required to deliver to other members of the group.

Who is this course designed for?
This qualification is ideal for anyone who has never delivered training before or for trainers who want to reinvigorate their training skills.

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?
None.

How long is the course and when will it be taught?
The course consists of practical sessions, with selected subjects taught in a classroom environment. It takes 3 days and can be delivered on site if required.
